Bandwidth, Statistics, Disk Space Usage

Your bandwidth and statistics reset the first of every calendar month. Your disk space never resets.

It's your responsibility to check your usage before it becomes a problem. You can do this by logging into your cpanel a few times each month: http://www.SITENAME.COM/cpanel/ OR cpanel.SITENAME.COM

The left side of the main page of cpanel shows your overall 'Monthly Bandwidth Transfer' and your overall 'Disk Space Usage' statistics.
(you can also see what you've used during the calendar month via your hosting account: https://www.gm-innovations.com/accounts)

If you see that your usage is high, you need to look into what's causing it. Graphs and charts on bandwidth usage can be found in your cpanel under 'Logs' and then 'Bandwidth'. You can also check on 'Latest Visitors' under 'Logs'.

Disk space usage can be found under 'Files' and then 'Disk Space Usage'. You will need to look and decide what is using space and what you can delete in order to free up some space.

You can upgrade your hosting by logging into your hosting account https://www.gm-innovations.com/accounts/ then click on products and services, and click 'Upgrade/Downgrade' (at the bottom of the page for the service/site you want to upgrade). If you want to add extra disk space only, follow the above but select 'Upgrade/Downgrade Options' instead.

Tips:

- The 1st most common reason for being out of disk space is storing backups onsite such as WordPress and CashCrusader. Check cpanel http://www.SITENAME.COM/cpanel/ in your file manager for old backups. They are useless if kept there anyway. If the site crashes, they are lost along with the site.

- The 2nd most common reason is old emails in your cpanel http://www.SITENAME.COM/cpanel/ webmail. Always check these occasionally for emails even if you download (pop) your emails. Also make sure that your email preferences and trash can are set up, see the instructions at the bottom of this page: https://www.gm-innovations.com/accounts/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=28

- The 3rd most common reason (for CashCrusader sites) is storing old emails, banners, ptc's, and sent emails - always clean these out of your admin.

- The 4th most common reason is another site sending large amounts of traffic to your site. Check on 'Latest Visitors' under 'Logs' via your cpanel and contact the site that's sending you too much traffic.
